Class in a Bag is an award winning portable educational resource which raises awareness of dementia. It includes the physical resources and lesson guides for five experiential interactive workshops.

The workshops will:  

•     Increase understanding of dementia
•     Increase understanding about how dementia may affect individuals
•     Increase knowledge around alternative ways of supporting a person with dementia

The learning outcomes can contribute to the knowledge, skills and behaviours outlined in the Promoting Excellence Framework informed level.

The resource also contains facilitator pack that has been designed for children and interactive workshop or classroom exercises suitable for children to learn more about how to support people living with dementia. The facilitator pack for children also contains a story book to support children to understand the changes dementia can bring and how to support someone living with dementia.
