Detailed Description
Altitude (or hypoxic) exercise sessions within our simulated altitude chamber will allow you to experience what it is like to exercise at altitudes of up to 5000 m in a controlled environment where your oxygen saturation will be closely monitored throughout your session. The following are examples of what the altitude sessions can be used for:
• To prepare for an event/competition/expedition at altitude
• To provide an additional exercise stressor to your training programme
• As part of a rehabilitation programme as altitude increases the physiological stimulus, without increasing the physical load.
The chamber can take up to two people (with no additional cost) at any one time, houses a commercial grade treadmill and a Wattbike cycle ergometer (please note the treadmill can be removed and two Wattbikes can fit within the space instead).
